Smart Savings this Week!

WALGREENS

Total Before Coupons and Sales = $32.59
Total Spent = $1.91!!
Total Saved = $30.68 or 94%
So, this was obviously an amazing shop! I pretty much followed this list. However, I had $8 in Extra Care Bucks that were expiring today, so I used them on this order. I usually try to roll my ECB's over, meaning if I use $8, I try to also earn $8, but there was just nothing on sale with ECB earnings that I needed or wanted.
The Snickers and chapstick were a register line grab. Walgreens has a coupon policy that you have to have as many items as you do coupons. So, I usually find myself grabbing one or two less than $1 items to meet that policy.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
TARGET
Total Before Sales and Coupons = $10.97
Total Spent = $3.98
Total Saved = $6.99 or 64%
I used a couple of the deals on this list to make these transactions. The batteries -- FREE!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
CVS

Total Before Sales and Coupons = $26.41
Total Spent = $2.89
Total Saved = $23.52 or 89%!!
This was the same situation as the Walgreens shop. I had $16 in Register Rewards that expired today. I did, however, receive $8 back in Register Rewards so I did a little better at rolling them over here. The milk, garlic powder and baking sheet were not on sale, but I was looking for items to purchase to use my Rewards.

Commisary (On Base)

Total Spent = $12.15
See all of those orange stickers? That means these items were in the damaged goods clearance corner and I had a coupon for most of them!
Cake Mix = $.67/ea with $.55/2 coupon = $.40 each
French's Onions = $1.95 with $.75/1 coupon = $1.20
The tomato paste was only $.37
The spaghetti sauce was $.72
The tomato sauce was $.30
And the Commisary usually has good deals on produce. The oranges were $2.49 for a 4 lb bag, and the zucchini was $.39 per pound.

Kimmy's Saturday Smart Shop

Well, this week's shop was actually done on Tuesday since this week is Thanksgiving. I only shopped at Walgreens this week, but really racked up!!

Total Before Savings = $85.44
Total Out of Pocket = $31.09
Total After Rebates = $17.09
Total Savings = $68.35 that's an 80% Savings!!!

I will mail in for a $10 rebate on the Nabisco products, plus got $4 in Register Rewards to spend next time. I got yet again two boxes of cereal under $1.50 a box. The Dinty Moore beef stew makes a good go to meal for Troy if I'm not home or under the weather. Plus, he can take them to work for a quick easy lunch. And the Vanity Fair plates - FREE!!

Kimmy's Saturday Smart Shop

Total Loot This Week

Original Price: $95.58
Total Spent: $31.44
Total Saved: $71.13!!!

Target

Total Spent: $10.35

There were really great deals at Target this week. After sales and coupon match ups Del Monte canned veggies were $.28 a can, Triscuits were $1 a box, "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter" was an amazing $.45 each. The tomatoes were on one of the clearance end caps of the store, which I was able to match with coupons.

CVS

Total Spent: $11.24

I wouldn't usually have gotten the cold and flu products, but it came with $10 in ECBs, and I had some ECBs to spend that expired this week. The Fiber One was $1.50 a box which you can't beat on good healthy cereal. I've found since couponing that it is completely unnecessary to spend more than $2 a box on any cereal.

Wal Mart

Total Spent: $3.88

Ok, so I will not be going to Wal-Mart any time soon unless they are giving food away. The deals were decent, but the place is a mad house!! We stood in line for over an hour and the place was so crowded. So, I'll be waiting until after the holidays before couponing there again.

That having been said, the best deal here were the bacon wrapped steaks, which I got for $.98! Can't beat that for a steak dinner for two!

Toys'r'Us

Total Spent: $1.99

They are having a Door Buster sale this weekend and had this on sale for $3.99, and I used a $2/1 coupon, making this a great little gift for Zeke for Christmas. Shhh...don't tell him. :)

Walgreens

Total Spent: $3.98

This was kind of a screw up. The cereal was on sale for $2.00 a box and I thought I had a coupon for $1/2, but it was for the wrong brand. So, I made a trip for two boxes of Special K. Oh, well. Troy and I eat tons of cereal and are only buying the healthier choices lately, so it was worth it, I suppose.
